Sergeant First Class Emil Praslick began shooting in 1994 with the US Army. He is currently the Head Coach of the United States Army Rifle Team (Service Rifle), and of the USA National Rifle Team. Emil was a firing member of the Silver Medal winning U.S. team in the 2003 Palma, as well as a coach on the 2007 and 2011 U.S. Palma Teams. Emil's F-Class career began when he was asked if he would coach the United States F-Class Team in the inaugural World Championships, fired at Connaught Range, Canada. It was a very rewarding experience for Emil as he not only was a part of the Gold Medal Team, but he also got to share coaching duties with his opposite number from the Marine Corps Rifle Team, GySgt Carlos Hathcock III. Since then, he has coached and shot in the 2005 World Championships, as well as in the U.S. National Championships.
When he is not shooting, coaching, or managing the Army Rifle Team, Emil enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing guitar and chess. He is married to the lovely Cathy Praslick and has two young boys: Emil (6) and Ethan (4).
